BBCoC Announces Over $1.15 Million in Homeless Services Funding Opportunities

The Big Bend Continuum of Care (BBCoC) is now accepting proposals for $1,150,334.20 in funding to support services for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Funding is provided through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and includes the following sources:

  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)

  • Challenge Grant

  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

  • ESG: Rapid Unsheltered Survivor Housing (RUSH)

Eligible nonprofit and public agencies serving the BBCoC region (Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Franklin, Liberty, Jefferson, Madison, and Taylor counties) are encouraged to apply. Funded activities must align with BBCoC’s mission to reduce homelessness, improve system performance, and increase access to permanent housing.

Applicants may submit one proposal with requests for multiple funding sources. Key funding highlights include:

  • ESG: $219,433.38 for street outreach, emergency shelter, rapid rehousing, and prevention (requires 100% match).

  • Challenge Grant: $560,000 for housing projects, program innovations, and service activities.

  • TANF Prevention: $30,600.91 for homelessness prevention and case management for low-income families.

  • ESG RUSH: $375,000 for disaster-impacted populations needing shelter, rehousing, or prevention services.

The RFP opens Wednesday, June 25, 2025, and closes Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 12 noon.
